O’Neill Theater Center Benefit Fetes Founder George C. White with New York City Gala at The Union Club & The Kaye Playhouse October 29th

White accepts a portrait of himself, to be hung at the O’Neill Center in his honor. Actor Michael Douglas discusses his O’Neill experiences. O’Neill Puppetry Conference artists Martin Robinson and Pam Arciero with a puppet of George White they created for “Celebrating George C. White.”

Actor John Seitz reads Derek Walcott’s poem about the O’Neill. Playwright John Guare reads from his play THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, which he performed in at the O’Neill during the 1966 O’Neill Playwrights Conference.
