Directions to the O’Neill Center

From New York or New Haven:

Take I-95 North to Exit 75 (Waterford Route 1 North). Follow 3 miles passing the Waterford Post Office on your right. Turn right at traffic light onto Avery Lane. At next traffic light, go straight ahead onto Great Neck Road (Route 213). Follow this 3 miles to first stop sign and turn right. Proceed 1/4 mile to the O’Neill Center entrance, on your right.

From Boston or Providence:

Take I-95 South to Exit 81 (Cross Road). Turn left off the exit. Turn left on Cross Road. Go over I-95 and through first light to next light, turning left on to Route 1 (Boston Post Road). Turn right at traffic light on to Avery Lane. Follow directions as listed above.

From Hartford:

Take Route 2 South to Exit 19 (Route 11). At the end of Route 11, turn left onto Route 82. Follow to intersection, turn right onto Route 85 and take into Waterford. Cross under Route 395, and after Dunkin’ Donuts turn right on to Cross Road. Follow directions as listed above.

From 395 South:

Take I-395 South to Exit 77. Take a left off the exit ramp onto CT-85. Turn right on Cross Road. Follow Cross Road over I-95 to the second stoplight, turn left on to Boston Post Road. Pass the Waterford Post Office on your right, turn right at traffic light on to Avery Lane. At next light, go straight on to Great Neck Road (Route 213). Follow this 3 miles to first stop sign and turn right. Proceed a quarter mile to the O’Neill Center entrance, on your right.

Directions to the
Monte Cristo Cottage from the O’Neill

At the O’Neill entrance, turn right and follow 213. Turn left on Ocean Avenue. Turn right on Plant Street. Turn left on Pequot Avenue, the Monte Cristo Cottage is the second house on the left, located at 325 Pequot Avenue.
